Overview

Utilize electrical and mechanical skills to maintain and repair CNC machining equipment in support of production operations with an emphasis on maximizing up time and maintaining capability.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical and mechanical repair of production machining equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Identify, acquire, and maintain inventories of parts to effect repairs and maintain equipment capability.
  • Estimate duration and cost for completion of repairs and projects.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Work cooperatively with equipment providers, contractors, and other maintenance personnel.
  • Adhere to PPE, lockout tagout practices, and safe working procedures.
  • Contribute to the specification and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in CNC machining equipment repair and operation, including motors, control electronics, spindles, ballscrews, guideways, sensors and switches.
  • Knowledge of CNC control diagnostics, ladder diagrams, and PLCs.
  • Strong working knowledge in the repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to work from schematics, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ability to work unsupervised; identifying, proposing, and implementing cost effective and timely service of equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed in support of production operations.

 

Compensation: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience
