Overview

The successful candidate will exhibit leadership, collaboration and teamwork and will have the opportunity to progress in their career, with the goal of becoming a Production Supervisor.

Support the Production Supervisor overseeing the operation of the M1 Assembly department and staff in a given shift to produce products, which conform to part specifications, quality specifications, procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in enforcing company rules and regulations
  • Assist in Set-up of machines and work centers
  • Assist in make-up of work schedule; Direct and guide the schedule execution to support customer needs ( As Needed to back up Production Scheduler role )
  • Assist in assigning work daily and move labor to operations necessary to support customer requirements
  • Inspect tooling for damage or wear and promptly notify appropriate personnel
  • Assist in maintaining data entry through labor reporting and material issuing to job orders ( As Needed to back up Production Scheduler role )
  • Inspect production parts and record data per QS documentation for data retention
  • Monitor job operation standards performance
  • Assist in maintaining visual displays of work group activity and goals
  • Support/Assist/Lead Lean initiatives and are maintained and audited

Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma required – 2 year degree preferred (Technical)

 

Experience:

Production Experience 4 years minimum of technical working knowledge

 

Computer skills: Excel, Word, Syteline (preferred)

 

 

Background:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mechanics and auxiliary equipment
  • Ability to recognize issues and diagnose for quick resolution, maintain quality standards, and produce product per production schedules and deadlines
  • Good organizational skills and understanding of general LEAN manufacturing practices
  • Understanding of SPC and how to drive quality improvements from the data
  • Familiar with finance/budgeting
  • Familiar with OSHA requirements
